Leadian is an AI lead-list builder for people who need a usable B2B prospect list, not another database subscription. You describe your audience in one sentence, review the proposed search plan, and receive leads checked against live public source pages. This Leadian review explains when that workflow fits, what it costs, and when a traditional subscription tool may be the better choice.
What is Leadian?
Leadian turns a plain-English description such as “Heads of Growth at Series B SaaS companies in the US” into an adjustable research plan. Before the search runs, you can review who to find, how many people to find, and which details to collect.
That distinction matters. A conventional database usually starts with filters and a large existing record set. Leadian starts with the prospect definition, searches the web, reads relevant pages, and checks each match against live public sources. You can watch each research step and see the pages that support a lead, which makes the list easier to review before outreach.
It is currently in private beta and invite only. There is no public API yet, so it is best suited to a person who wants to create and inspect lists in the product rather than automate list creation from another system.
Leadian review: the workflow in practice
A useful way to test Leadian is to make the input sentence specific enough to research, but not so narrow that it excludes good prospects. Include:
- The role or decision-maker, such as VP Marketing or founder.
- The company type, industry, stage, or business model.
- The geography.
- The approximate list size.
- Any details you want in the final columns.
For example: “Marketing directors at UK B2B cybersecurity companies with 50 to 500 employees.” Leadian converts that request into a plan you can adjust before anything runs. You can change the audience, quantity, or details before spending credits.
Choose a mode based on the job:
| Mode | Best for | Lead limit or effort |
|---|---|---|
| Quick | A fast first look at a market or audience | Up to 10 leads |
| Smart | A balanced, verified prospect list | Best general-purpose choice |
| Deep | Hard criteria or an exhaustive list | Most thorough, 3 credits per lead |
The output can include custom columns. If you need a website, Instagram profile, or another detail, ask for it as an extra column rather than forcing a separate research pass. Leads can be saved to lists, given a status, and exported to CSV or Excel.
Who should use Leadian?
Leadian is a strong fit when your targeting logic is difficult to express as a few database filters. Agencies building a niche account list, recruiters researching a specialist market, and sales teams testing a new segment can all benefit from starting with a sentence and inspecting the evidence behind each match.
It is also useful when list quality matters more than having the largest possible contact database. The product shows source pages for the leads it returns, so you can check whether a person or company really matches your brief before you write a message.
Leadian may not be the right choice for every team. If you need a public API, it does not have one yet. If you need a very high, steady volume every month, a subscription database can be cheaper per contact. The practical question is whether you value flexible research and occasional list building more than predictable bulk usage.

Leadian pricing and credits
Leadian uses one-time credit packs rather than a subscription or per-seat plan. Credits never expire, and new accounts get 50 free credits. Current packs are:
| Pack | Price | Credits | Approx. price per credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $10 | 150 | $0.067 |
| Plus | $25 | 425 | $0.059 |
| Pro | $59 | 1,150 | $0.051 |
| Scale | $129 | 2,850 | $0.045 |
A Quick or Smart lead costs 1 credit. A Deep lead costs 3 credits. An extra column costs 1 credit per lead. Revealing a work email costs 3 credits, and revealing a phone number costs 5 credits. Email and phone details are revealed lead by lead, on demand. If no verified result is found, you are not charged for that reveal.
Before a search starts, Leadian shows the maximum possible cost and sets those credits aside. You pay only for new leads delivered and verified contacts found. Unused credits are returned automatically. That makes a small, occasional project easier to budget than a subscription you may not use every month.
Leadian compared with subscription databases
As of October 2026, Apollo lists Basic at $49 per seat per month when billed annually, while Hunter lists Starter at $34 per month when billed annually. Both are subscription products, so the price structure is different from a one-time Leadian pack. See the Apollo pricing page and Hunter pricing page for their published terms.
Apollo can be cheaper per credit for heavy, steady monthly volume, and its published phone-credit price is lower than Leadian’s. That is not a problem with the comparison: Leadian’s advantage is the buying model and research workflow, not being the cheapest unit price. Leadian has no subscription, no seats, credits that do not expire, and a starting pack priced at $10. It also builds the list from a plain-language brief and exposes source pages for review.
Use this decision rule:
- Choose Leadian when the audience is specific, the research brief changes, or you buy prospecting in occasional projects.
- Choose a subscription database when you need predictable bulk access and will use the allowance consistently.
- Compare the total workflow, not only the cost of one email or phone reveal. A cheaper contact is not necessarily a better match for the brief.
A practical first project
Start with one segment, not your entire market. Write a sentence with the role, company profile, geography, and a realistic quantity. Select Smart for a balanced first pass, then inspect the plan before it runs.
Ask for only the columns you will use. A sales list may need company website and role, while a recruiting list may need a different verification detail. Extra columns cost 1 credit per lead, so adding fields selectively keeps the project focused.
Review the source page for each promising lead. Assign a status as you qualify the list, save the results for later, and export the finished list when it is ready for your workflow. For questions about access during the private beta, use the Leadian contact page.
